We have ambitious objectives and, as a Group, we know we have all the competence to achieve them. Suppliers represent an added value and play an essential role in our daily business.
What we do, or will do, together is important. It is not just business: we create value for the future of our planet through more sustainable and modern energy. This is why we pay particular attention to those situations in which no detail can be left to chance.
We need to collaborate with companies able to guarantee that works, goods and services meet the high-quality standards of our performances. This is the reason why we assess our suppliers through a careful Qualification Process for our strategic Merchandise Groups, i.e. for activities that require considerable investments and have a greater impact on safety and the environment.
Each supplier can access the Qualification Process at any time.
After registering on the Global Procurement Portal, the process requires each supplier to specify the Merchandise Groups of interest and the companies within the Enel Group with which they would like to collaborate.
If the Merchandise Group selected is of global interest, that is presents with the same procedures in all the companies of the Enel Group, an International Qualification Process – involving specific worldwide legal, economic and financial requirements – will be initiated.
If the Merchandise Group selected is not of international interest, the supplier will be redirected to a Local Qualification Process, strictly linked to the legal, economic, financial and safety regulations of each country. The local qualification process for Endesa and the companies that operate in Latin America, is redirected to an external rating system called “Repro”, owned by Achilles.
Both these processes carefully evaluate the requirements, the quality of the references and, last but not least, the compliance with Enel’s sustainability and innovation values.
The companies that successfully pass this evaluation will be included in the list of Qualified Suppliers for a period of three years, during which they will have to keep the qualifying requirements.
