Connecting the different parts of an international network requires total transparency, clarity and a well-structured plan to move in a common direction and obtain the best results for everyone.
At Enel, we can count on many commercial partners and suppliers, with whom we have established a relationship based on a constant exchange of competences, information and professionalism and thanks to which we can offer an efficient service to our clients.
To manage and carry out Procurement activities on a global level, we rely on four different Global Procurement Units that collect the requests of the relevant Global Business Lines, to develop adequate supply strategies, based on global priority plans.
By doing so, on one hand, it is possible to standardise the requests and requirements of the technical Units of each Business Line in accordance with the Design-to-cost method; on the other, it is possible to manage, in collaboration with the Local Units, the local supply process, promoting improvement by sharing best practices.
Global Procurement Units are divided in four specific areas of competence:
- Global Infrastructure and Networks Procurement manage the purchasing processes for the Global Infrastructure & Network business line;
- Global Renewable Energies Procurement manages the contracts for the supply of materials, services and works for the various areas of the Global Renewable Energy business line;
- Global Thermal Generation Procurement manages the supply processes for the Global Thermal Generation business line;
- Global ICT Procurement manages all purchasing processes for the Information Communication Technology functions.
We strongly believe in the efficiency and importance of this strategy, which allows us to have a centralised view of the various acquisitions and execute our projects in the best possible way.
