Global Procurement periodically organises meetings and discussions with suppliers: Supplier Days.
During 2018 and 2019, numerous Supplier Days took place in various countries where Enel operates.
At the moment more than 1000 suppliers have attended the meetings, and this number is destined to increase thanks to the other Supplier Days that will be promoted.
These events aim to share:
- future business challenges
- the transformations taking place
- programmes dedicated to the relationship between Enel and its suppliers.
In addition to exchanging views and to questioning each other in order to share experiences.
These days are the materialisation of the desire to create a direct and tangible channel between Enel and its suppliers.
One of the tools that can be used in this way is, for example, the Contact us form, which suppliers can use to contact Global Procurement.

How does the energy of the future look like?
This was the question that opened the Enel’s event dedicated to all our suppliers. Enel’s representatives and colleagues met with our partners with whom we develop our business in Romania. The all-encompassing purpose of the conference was to foster a two-way open dialogue on the lines our Group will follow in the future in what concerns the Procurement strategy and process. It has been a full day, during which the participants exchanged information and got their questions answered or even better, got new ideas to help improve their work.
Almost 200 participants gathered in the conference room at Ramada Parc, in the north of the capital where Enel also displayed 2 electric cars and an electrical charging station.
Our Country Manager, Georgios Stassis opened the talks thanking the partners for their support to build every day a better, more sustainable economy and for implementing our innovative business solutions.
Salvatore Bernabei, Head of Global Procurement structured his speech on the importance of our company having a sustainable strategy and on the transformation of our way of working. Communication is part of the Procurement Manifesto and we need to carefully listen to our suppliers in order to grow together.
Our Safety department represented by Massimo Bazzani and Giovanni Iavarone reminded participants that Safety is a priority and we continuously invest in trainings and courses that contribute to the Safety culture in our Group. One practical example was the corner dedicated to the first VR simulator for training future specialists at E-distribution. The participants were invited to strap in and experience the technology that recreates the reality in a safe and immersive environment with real situations and instruments that allowed them to interact with the surroundings in real-life situations with the help of the special equipment.
Alessio Menegazzo, Head of Sustainability and Institutional Affairs focused also on the sustainability and innovation of our business but also on diversity when discussing about stakeholders.
Marius Chiriac, Head of Enel X Romania introduced some ideas about Enel X, among which services aiming at optimizing every aspect of the society: industries, mobility, homes and cities. Everything has to become smart and help communities live in a better world with the help of innovative, state-of-the art technologies and platform solutions. The focus was on e-mobility and the recharging infrastructure in Romania.
The moderator of the event was Alessandra Stoicescu, a well-known TV anchor who, at the end of the event invited participants to ask questions in a direct dialogue with Enel’s management present at the event.
The day concluded with a series of workshops and one-to one-talks with Enel partners on different issues and themes which helped both our colleagues and partners to better understand the working procedures and discover new business opportunities.
